Later in the year, usually around October or November, the Savannah Film Festival is an exciting event, something that is worthwhile watching out for! More often than not, the festival will feature more than fifty films! These 50+ movies are picked from over 600 entries, submitted by students from all over the world!

The selections usually cover a large range of film styles. You will witness feature films, short films, animated films, and even some documentaries.

Students and tourists flock to Savannah during the film festival because the festival allows many students to complete workshops and get the chance to speak with expert cinematographers to help improve their skills and knowledge, with the hope of gaining further information about the film industry! How good is that? You get to see some of the cutting edge stuff, and hey - you might even see the early works of a future Spielberg or Tom Cruise!
